The final results of the Shelton Striders 10k have now been uploaded into the RunDerby Race Series league tables.
Despite hosting the event where many club members were marshalling, Shelton Striders have managed to increase their lead over 2nd placed Team Derby Runner even further. However, Team Derby Runner look to have secured 2nd place with one more event to go and now the battle is for third place between South Derbyshire Road Runners and Derwent Runners.
Chris Millett (Team Derby Runner) has increased his lead in the male league table and looks like he may have one hand on the title. Meanwhile, Leonie Shipley (Derby Athletic Club) has come storming up the league tables going from 5th to 1st by completing her 5th counting event. Pascale Holden (Shelton Striders) is still continuing strong performances by keeping Jill Burke (Heanor Running Club) off the second spot in the female league table, but the gap has been reduced from 15 points to 10 points.
The Derby 10 Mile is the next and final event in the 2017 RunDerby Race Series. A total of 1,500 entries have sold out just over a week ago so if you were not one of the lucky ones to get an entry, we hope you will go down to the event to volunteer and gain a valuable 10 points.
