The RunDerby Race Series 2016 website is now live!
Here are some changes to the new 2016 Race Series:
- We welcome Derby 10k and Derby 10 Mile to the 2016 Race Series plus we welcome back the previous events: Sinfin 10k, Derby Ramathon, Hairy Helmet Relay, Colin Potter 10k, Tara Kinder 10k, Wilne 10k and Shelton Striders 10k.
- This makes a total of 9 events and the race series is still out the best of 5 with the hope that it will increase the number of people getting competitive.
- The prize structure will remain the same/similar for the scoring out of 5 races.
- The prize draw for those completing all 9 events will be improved further. The first person pulled out of the hat will receive the same £200 worth of Derby Runner kit and a free entry into the following year’s races as part of the RunDerby Race Series. There will be two extra names pulled out of the hat and they will win £30 and £20 for 2nd and 3rd respectively.
- We will continue to have a separate male and female league table with a cumulative affiliated club league table. i.e. all scores are added regardless of runners who have/haven’t ran a minimum of 5 races – so in other words, every result counts!
