The age categories and event tally of all the runners who took part in the 2017 RunDerby Race Series league tables have now been added. The results are final and the league tables reflect those that completed at least 5 events appearing higher than those they didn’t – i.e. did you beat some top athletes who only competed in 4 events or less?
Whilst all of the winners of the tables need to be applauded, one person who deserves a special mention is Steve Hand of Derwent Runners who has taken part in every single RunDerby Race Series event since it started in 2014. That is a total of 33 out of 33 events! Will it will be 41 out of 41 this time next year?
The 2017 RunDerby Race Series was the most successful yet and it was another record breaking year with 8,026 runners taking part, a total of 560,604 points being issued, a record number of volunteers and a record winning gap in the Club League Table of 11,046 by Shelton Striders. However, there were still 280,867 points available for clubs to claim from unaffiliated runners. Interested in joining a local running club, please click here for more information.
The presentations will take place in early Spring 2018 and more details will be provided on this website and via our social media channels closer to the time. The prize winners will also be contacted directly around this time.
