The largest race of the RunDerby Race Series, the Derby RAMathon, have announced the date of next year’s race as Sunday 7th June 2015 – Save the date!
Following the triumphant success of the re-launched RAMathon which took place at Elvaston Castle in June 2014 (after an 18 year gap), the organisers are bringing the event back into the city and are excited to announce the race limit will be increased to 4,000 runners.
Derby County Football Club is a confirmed key partner and the Derby half marathon will start and finish at the iPro Stadium. John Vicars, Chief Operating Officer, says “Everyone connected with Derby County is delighted to see the Ramathon back and bigger than ever. There is only one place where it should start and finish – and that is the home of the Rams!”
The planned route will still include the villages of Shardlow, Ambaston and Elvaston (and the Castle grounds) and competitors will again be able to enjoy the amazing scenery which helped make the event so iconic.
Entries are expected to open towards the end of this year and you can be one of the first to find out by signing up to the RAMathon newsletter via our website.
